Here are some of our favorite stories about the pets we helped reunite!

Poo Cat

We go the call that Poo Cat had been missing for over 48 hours. She was staying with a family friend for the 4th of July holiday when she broke out of their fence and took off. Search dog Quasar and I responded to the call. It was 99 degrees that day, so we had to wait until it cooled off in the evening to start our track. We would also have to wrap up before the neighbor fireworks started.  Quasar got Poo Cat’s scent from towel the family used to give her a bath the day before and off he went. He led us on a two-and-a-half-hour track through neighborhoods and trails and just when I though we may have to call it, as the fireworks were just starting, I saw something familiar! A quick flash of that iconic Corgi butt!  A short time later Poo Cat was in her caretaker’s arms! We trekked back to the house carrying Poo Cat the whole way and feeling like the fireworks nearby were celebrating her safe return with us. We are so thrilled to help bring Pop Cat home safe and sound! Quasar celebrated a successful track with his favorite treat and toy.

Oliver

Oliver had already been missing for 4 days in the Arizona desert when we got the call.  He wondered out of his backyard when the gate somehow didn't close properly. A neighbor saw him and tried to catch him, but unfortunately Oliver was scarred and he ran off into the dessert.  His family search tirelessly for 4 days before they heard about our tracking services. Search dog Quasar and I responded to the call. Quasar got Oliver's scent from his dog bed and off we went. Pretty quickly it was clear that Oliver went in a direction that the family had not excepted and had not searched yet. Quasar tracked Oliver for over 3 miles into the desert before we had to call it, due to it getting dark. We were able to locate a place it was clear Oliver spent time in and took shelter under some bushes at some point. I advised the family to leave a trail home with something that smelled like his family. We also left water and food in serval spots we thought he might come back to. The family followed my advice and cut up their bedding they slept in. They left little pieces of their blanket from the location Oliver we though her took shelter in, all the way home. Two days later Olver came home carrying pieces of this blanket in his mouth! We are so honored to help bring him home! His story even made the local news!

Nado

Nado and his owner were involved in a car accident when he went missing.  The glass on the back of the car shattered and a terrified Nado escaped the vehicle and jump off an overpass.  His owner, who only suffered minor injuries, search all through the night for him. Search dog Quasar and I joined the search the next day but unfortunately the place Nado jumped was inaccessible to our search team due to the terrain. We spend serval hours searching nearby neighborhoods and more accessible location with no luck.  We checked a location with a possible sighting and while Quasar did find his scent and started tracking, we ran into another area we couldn't access.  We decided to call it for the day and packed up and started driving home, when we got a call about a possible sighting. I raced to location and as Quasar and I approached the new search area there he was! The person who had spotted him was there trying to catch him but unfortunately Nado was still terrified and kept running from him. However, once Nado spotted Quasar, everything changed and he ran up to us and allowed me to slip a leash on him. Five minutes later his family arrived and they were reunited! Dispited his ordeal, Nado had no real injuries! We are so thrilled to be part of his rescue!
